"The Floor is Lava" In Mrs. Sarbello, Mrs. Leonchuck and Ms. Pino's Fifth Grade ELA class, the students completed a fun and challenging game of "The Floor is Lava". Before students were able to hop from station to station they had to respond to short story questions and use the knowledge of reading comprehension skills such as summarizing, comparing and contrasting, how characters change over time , and the main idea to answer questions about the stories. After the questions have been answered the students have to move from station to station without touching the floor since in their mind the "Floor has become Lava".
