Reutter School Celebrates Literacy During Read Across America Week
Reutter School recently marked the national Read Across America celebration with a week-long series of events dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of reading this week. The celebration featured a special spirit week organized by the Student Council, with each day centered on a unique theme that promoted different aspects of literacy and school culture.
A highlight of the week occurred when students received a surprise visit from the Cat in the Hat. The iconic character moved through the building, engaging with students and bringing an extra layer of excitement to the reading-centered activities.
On Friday, the celebration extended into the community as a group of sixth-grade students visited Mary F. Janvier School. Serving as student ambassadors, they spent the morning reading to the younger students in the district. This initiative provided our sixth graders with a leadership opportunity while allowing them to share their enthusiasm for storytelling with the primary grade levels.

Recently, in Mrs. Busler's sixth-grade math class, we had a construction challenge on constructing shapes to find their area, making formulas for each parallelogram, and finding the dimensions. We had fun working with our friends, figuring out the formulas, area, and dimensions.

Dear Reutter School Community,
