Principal's Message

October 2021

Reutter School Families,

The weather outside will be quickly changing from hot, steamy days to cool and refreshing evenings that we are accustomed to during the Fall season.  Please  remember as the calendar fills up, the greatest gift that we can give to our  children is the gift of time. Whether it be attending a Girl Scout meeting, a Township football game, a Saturday soccer practice, or  reading their favorite bedtime story for the millionth time, our children cherish the time that we spend with them.

As we conclude our fall baseline diagnostic assessments, it was great to see our teachers providing such intriguing    lessons to students over the week. For example, our fifth grade teachers have started the introductory components of the new Benchmark ELA resource and sixth grade students were eager to explain how to further interpret aspects of a parallelogram in their math classes.

The students are eagerly awaiting the start of our           after-school activities which begin this month.  Some of the activities planned include: dance club, book club, physical fitness, STEM, art, band, chorus, and homework club.       Additional clubs will be added throughout the academic year.

All parents are asked to assist us in maintaining a healthy and safe school environment. As noted in our daily monitoring letter, please DO NOT send your child to school if they are not feeling well. In addition, please DO NOT send your child to school if they or someone else in your household are pending a COVID-19 test or have been exposed to an individual with COVID-19. Our COVID-19 tracker can be found on the district’s website at  Feel free to contact our school nurse, Mrs. Zorzi, if you have any questions at                    856-694-0223.
