Congratulations to Mrs. Beth Aylmer - Reutter School Teacher of the Year

Mrs. Beth Aylmer has been named as the Caroline L. Reutter School Teacher of the Year!

Mrs. Aylmer has demonstrated herself as an effective educator over the past ten years, including the past nine years as a Special Education Teacher at the Caroline L. Reutter School.

Mrs. Aylmer graduated from Monmouth College (Il) with her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and from Saint Joseph’s University with a Masters Degree in Special Education.

Most noted by her colleagues are Mrs. Aylmer’s active participation in the school community.  She is actively involved in several different activities including the school’s Climate & Culture and Academic Incentive Committees.

Mrs. Aylmer is credited for creating the school’s RAM STRONG initiative, a core foundation of our school’s nationally recognized character development program.  She takes pride in her research of sharing multiple activities that teachers could use to educate their students about the school’s character development monthly traits.

As one of Mrs. Aylmer’s fellow grade level colleagues stated, “Beth is a constant advocate for her students, working with each student directly to cater to his or her academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs.  As I enter the building each day, Beth is often seen already walking the hallways throughout the school, check-in in with other teachers in order to discuss curriculum, extracurricular activities, or to monitor the success of her students in their other classes.  (She) collaborates with all staff members and is an active participant in our community.  Beth’s dedicated work ethic and passion for children and teaching are amongst the many reasons she deserves to be recognized as “Educator of the Year”.
