Principal's Message

Reutter School Families,

I hope that you have enjoyed this summer and are looking forward to beginning the school year at Caroline L. Reutter School. For both new and returning students, I have some exciting changes for the upcoming school year. We have been working hard over the summer break to make the school a pleasant environment for your return. I have outlined below some of the changes that you will encounter:

 Updated Curriculum for English Language Arts, Mathematics, Social
Studies, and Technology courses

 Continuation of the 1:1 “Take-Home” CHROME book initiative for ALL students (refer to the school’s website for more details)

 Facilities upgrades including the painting of the school hallways, replacement of the cafeteria tables, and installation of new clocks

 Implementation of standards based grading for fifth grade core courses

 Sixth Grade pilot of a hybrid standards-based grading system for ELA and Social Studies classes

In closing, I am very excited about all of the changes that took place over the summer and look forward to your return. Please feel free to call or email with any questions that you may have regarding the upcoming 2017-2018 academic year.

Please note the various important notifications and procedural items included in this newsletter (link below).
