Similes and Metaphors

In Mrs Sarbello and Mrs. Aylmer’s 5th grade ELA class, we are working on a similes and metaphors project. Similes are using the words like or as when comparing two objects and a metaphor does not use the words like or as. We will pick a comparison for our head, brain, body, legs, head, etc. Then you write sentences about the words you highlighted and describe it. Also, the last thing that you’ll do is you’ll make a picture about the sentences you wrote. For example,  if you said that your head is like a sponge, you would have to draw and color your head as a sponge.
