Dear Parents:

Last week, the Governor officially announced that all New Jersey schools would be closed for the remainder of the school year.  This news confirmed the unfortunate ending of our traditional learning environment this school year, which abruptly came to a halt in mid-March.

We are disappointed that our students are not able to experience the “traditional” spring events that provide such memorable and enriching experiences.  This year we will fondly miss our class trips, color run, school play, music concert, art, show, field day and many other activities.  As for our sixth grade students, we will unfortunately not be able to host a physical commencement ceremony due to the Governor’s Social Distancing Guidelines.  In order to recognize our sixth grade students’ efforts within the Township of Franklin Public Schools, a virtual commencement ceremony will be shared with the school community in mid-June.

Given the short notice to the start of our distance learning process in March, many students still have personal belongings at school.  A plan for parents to pick up their child’s belongings has been designed whereas parents will drive up to the school’s front entrance with an open trunk for Reutter School staff to place their child’s belongings and any medications from the nurse.  In order to maintain social distancing, we are asking for all parents picking up items to not exit their vehicles, park at the school, or engage in conversations with school staff.  We are also asking parents to drop off their child’s library books and completed classroom novels at this time.

Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 20 have been designated as the dates for parents to pick-up their child’s belongings at the below designated dates and times according to the first letter of the student’s last name:

Tuesday, May 19

A-G (8 AM-9 AM)

H-N (9:30 AM-10:30 AM)

O-Z (11 AM-Noon)

Wednesday, May 20

A-G (2 PM - 3 PM)

H-N (3 PM - 4 PM)

O-Z (4 PM - 5 PM)

ALL (5 PM - 7 PM)

* We will be flexible with parents who have to pick up their children’s belongings at multiple schools.

In order to maintain an organized, steady flow of traffic, please ENTER the school via Delsea Drive and EXIT onto Williamstown Road.
