Mrs. Rambone’s Decimal Café

The students in Mrs. Rambone’s Math class at Caroline Reutter School recently participated in an event called “Decimal Café”. Dressed up as professional adults, we chose items from a menu and had to add, subtract, multiply and divide decimal numbers to figure out how much each person in our group had to pay for the meal. This activity helped us learn the real-world situation of dining out with colleagues. During the event, we enjoyed treats sent in by parents as our restaurant “meal”. Everyone loved the Decimal Café!
