Fifth Grade Students Host “Colonial Job Fair”

Students in Mrs. Mazzoni, Mrs. Niewoehner, and Mrs. Coulahan’s Social Studies classes hosted a “Colonial Job Fair” on April 17 during their enrichment period.  The students are currently learning about colonial America and the different occupations that individuals held during this time period.  The students were tasked with researching a particular colonial occupation, drafting a written explanation of their findings, and then delivering a verbal explanation of the work that they would complete if they held that job.  Students enjoyed dressing up in their occupation-related clothing and explaining their research to parents, relatives, teachers, and other students.  The remainder of the fifth grade classes are scheduled to complete a similar activity in May.
