Congratulations to Mrs. Kayla Callaway for being selected as the district’s Educational Support Specialist of the Year.  Mrs. Callaway is in her fourth year as a School Counselor and her seventh year in education.

Over her time at Reutter School, Mrs. Callaway has revitalized the school’s character development program, chairs several school-wide committees, and has assumed leadership responsibilities at both the school and district level.

Teachers at Reutter School have commented that “Mrs. Callaway is always striving to ensure our school has a warm and welcoming environment.  The students always feel so comfortable going to her and she is a familiar face to everyone around the school.”  Parents and students similarly stated that “Mrs. Callaway always makes sure that students came come to talk to her; she is comforting, supportive, and understanding with the student body.”

Mr. Peters, School Principal, stated that “Mrs. Callaway is a consummate professional who is highly dependable, intelligent, and provides 100% devotion to all aspects of her position. The successfulness of the school is greatly contributed to the positive social and emotional climate of the building and the leadership that she displays within the school.”
