Social and Emotional Learning

As part of a school-wide professional learning goal, Reutter School has integrated social and emotional learning concepts within all aspects of the school.  Social and emotional learning enhances students’ capacity to integrate skills, attitudes, and behaviors to deal effectively and ethically with daily tasks and challenges.  There are five core competencies that we will be focusing on while integrating social and emotional learning: 

Self-Awareness
Self-Management
Responsible Decision-Making
Relationship Skills
Social Awareness
Teachers will meet with their homerooms and classes to discuss these important competencies through morning meetings and school-wide assemblies.
